Our Roots

A Heritage of Excellence

In 2001, SAMBUZA VILLAGE was founded in Mogadishu with a singular devotion: to craft the finest, crispest, and most delicious sambusas in Somalia. What began as a passionate pursuit of culinary balance has grown into an iconic restaurant brand cherished by families, travelers, and food lovers across the nation.

Our name represents a promise. Each golden triangular pastry is folded by master culinary hands, stuffed with farm-fresh meats seasoned with hand-toasted cumin, coriander, and cloves, and fried precisely until golden brown and blistered.

Over the years, we expanded our menu to embrace complete Somali feasts — from fragrant Bariis & Hilib Suqaar to sizzling charcoal-grilled beef skewers, traditional pasta (Baasto), and savory burgers, all prepared under the same uncompromising standard of quality.

The Standard

Our Culinary Commitments

How we maintain the Gold Standard in every dish we serve.

100% Halal Integrity

Every piece of beef and poultry is certified halal and inspected for premium freshness and texture.

Secret Heritage Xawaash

Our spice blend is ground in-house, creating the distinctive warmth and aroma unique to Sambuza Village.

Cooked to Order

We never let sambusas sit under heat lamps. Orders are fried fresh so the pastry is crispy, light, and never greasy.

Somali Hospitality

Our restaurant is designed to feel like home — welcoming, immaculate, with modern two-level seating and friendly staff.
